Cleveland Thunder

Cleveland Thunder

Cleveland, you have yet another new hockey league, and a new hockey team. We proudly introduce the Cleveland Thunder, the first of the three new teams in the newly formed Nothern Ohio Hockey League. The Northern Ohio Hockey League, NOHL for short, is a youth formed league that includes several neighborhood teams in the Medina County area. The teams are officially based in a city. i.e. the Cleveland Thunder are located in Medina, Ohio. The league is taking on a form from the early '90's when the Cleveland Cavaliers played in Richfield. Where, instead of the name being the Richfield Cavaliers (Medina Thunder) it goes to the home city, Cleveland Cavaliers (Cleveland Thunder).

The Cleveland Thunder were created and are currently owned by Alex Scheufler. He has worked long and hard, to get a league started and has entered the first team into the league, being the Cleveland Thunder. The Thunder, as well as the Northern Ohio Hockey League hope to send out a schedule by December, as the indoor hockey season starts at the beginning of the 2009 calander year. The NOHL will not release any schdules until at least three teams are admitted to the league. Currently the process of finding three teams is underway, and progress is being made.

The Cleveland Thunder organization, as well as Alex Scheufler would like to welcome you to a new hockey beginning, and a new road that has been opened. We hope to see all of you at a game this season!
